:| Boys are stupid.

Gonna blog about the Quidditch match I was involved in yesterday :) a bit later, because I gotta get going.

Lol.
Funny how my day panned out today.

So I was walking along the First Year Laboratory Corridors, walking past lab rooms, thinking about my Physics test and the times for my next bus, when I walked past a particular lab in which SPAM, SPAM, The Physics, Astro & Mathematics Society were in there, up to some sort of up-pening.

I was part of SPAM, yepyep, I joined around 15 clubs during Orientation Week. So out of curiosity, I decided to pop into the lab to see what the fuss was all about.

After talking to Dorothy, a new friend I made ^_^ I discovered that SPAM was having a meeting to select positions on the SPAM committee, 3 first year reps and 1 publication rep.
I was encouraged/harassed to go for a first year rep position, by my physics tutor (who I adore dearly) and Dorothy, despite the fact that I was scared out of my wits, we had to make a speech and there was voting afterwards as well D:.
I didn't know how my curiosity got me into such randomness this time or even worse, how it was going to get me out of this one. I'm not even a dedicated SPAM member, the only even I attended was Liquid Nitrogen Day.

Well turned out, that there were only 3 people who went for 1st year reps, hence no speech/voting was needed :D hahahahahaha, we just had to stand in front of everyone and introduce yourself, which I had no problem at all doing. Haha, I am a SPAM first year rep now guise, hence I am a nerd.
So yeah, all I can say is Uni life is random, you never know what you will walk into when you turn a corner.

Jerry and Jake - Mckinnon kids, Jerry my Micro tute bud and Jake a new friend I made today were elected as first year reps :) Woo! We are going to make the best reps ever! I love those kids.

The thing I found hilarious about Jerry's turn of events, was what happened prior to the election.
While Jerry was on his way to some place else, he spotted the SPAM members carrying tottering towers of boxes of pizzas towards the labs for lunch for SPAM kids, so Jerry followed behind the pizza all way to the SPAM lab, then his friends signed him up as a SPAM 1st year rep and here his now, a SPAM first year rep!

To be honest, I think all 3 of us were brought together via the invisible forces of nothing to do with the likes of maths, physics or astronomy, but rather spontaneity and curiosity, which to me is quite amazing in itself :)

Whilst we were eating pizza together on one of the lab benches, with Jerry talking to his mates about something... I had a sudden brilliant idea, so I drew in a sudden deep breath and gasped very loudly, making everybody on the bench fall silent and look at me, with a stunned expression. I set aside their reaction and told them about my great idea!
I suggested that we put forth the idea to have a Nitrous Oxide Day, or more informally known as, Laughing Gas Day. Where we bring in nitrous oxide/laughing gas and people can just inhale it and laugh away!
Somehow the idea from inhaling nitrous oxide progressively turned into/thanks to the boys, locking people inside an airtight room and gassing them with nitrous oxide, which to me sounds more like a torcher chamber than a fun day out learning about science.

Hehe, I'm glad my curiosity and courage got the best of me today which just goes to show the pros of stepping out of your ruts and trying something new, and I was really about to bail because I didn't want to get involved in the "unknown" aka becoming a first year rep.

Uni life is so adventurous, because you never quite know what you will walk into - whether it be a half-crazed banshee, a wall or in my case a room full of new friends and a first year rep position for the Society of Physics, Astronomy and Maths.
Because in the end, you must go around the bend in order find out what's really behind it.
